About Me

  • About Dr. Júlia Cicogna

My passion for science and health began early, influenced by an academic environment since childhood. This interest led me to fulfill the dream of studying Medicine at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), where I was involved in research from the beginning of the course.

After graduating, I worked on the front line during the pandemic, which solidified my practical experience. I then did a residency in Internal Medicine and specialized in Endocrinology and Metabolism at Santa Casa de São Paulo, one of the most traditional hospitals in the country. I hold a specialist title from the Brazilian Society of Endocrinology and Metabolism (SBEM).

During my specialization, I developed a great interest in thyroid diseases, especially thyroid cancer. To deepen my knowledge, I completed my master’s degree at the same institution. I continue to carry out research in this area, which allows me to offer even more specialized care to my patients.

Today, I work as an endocrinologist in the public and private sectors and as a substitute professor of medicine at UFSC. My goal is to use my academic and clinical experience to offer empathetic, evidence-based care, helping each patient reach their best state of health and well-being.

  • My mission

My mission is to guide my patients on their journey toward a healthier, more balanced life. Through science and humanized care, my goal is to demystify treatment, turning complex information into clear guidance. I seek to build a relationship of trust and partnership, so that each person feels seen, heard and fully supported on the path to their best state of health.
